I still can't quite believe that Liars have released nine albums since making their debut as a bunch of punk-funk oddballs with They Threw Us All In A Trench And Stuck A Monument On Top in 2001. Where does the time go, etc etc? Their tenth, The Apple Drop, is not only their most accessible but (arguably) also their best.
Scanning other reviews as they've emerged this week, I've been surprised not to see anyone else mention TV On The Radio - the comparison seems obvious to me, at least.
