Labour's infighting over anti-Semitism has rather overshadowed the deep divisions among the Tories of late - enter Baroness Warsi to attempt to redress the balance by declaring that her own party is institutionally Islamophobic rather than merely blighted by the odd bad apple. No doubt this will get far less coverage in the media than the bitter disputes within Labour, but it certainly lends credence to the argument that the Tories' days may be numbered.
Meanwhile, the party is also under fire from the outside. No sooner has Theresa May declared that there is "no direct correlation between certain crimes and police numbers" than numerous senior police officers, including Met Police chief Cressida Dick, have insisted that the opposite is true. How much longer can the Tories continue to ignore experts and those on the ground and brazenly deny that their ideologically motivated funding cuts are having an enormously damaging impact on everything from knife crime to food bank use, homelessness and child mortality?
