Not-so-young team

So Mogwai have clambered aboard the anniversary bandwagon, announcing four dates - two in London and two in their native Glasgow - to mark their twentieth year together. I may have only just committed to the expense of going down to the Big Smoke to see Thurston Moore in May (couldn't resist hearing The Best Day in the flesh), but the fact that the London gigs are at the marvellous Roundhouse and they're likely (you'd hope) to play a greatest-hits-of-sorts set, then I'm sorely tempted to overlook the disappointment of Rave Tapes and invest in a ticket.

I'll be going to the show on the 24th, merely for the fact that the mighty Prolapse are reforming to support.

Yes, I saw that and imagined you might be tempted! Surely Prolapse will play a few other dates, though?

One of them lives and works in Norway now so it'll not be a long term thing. There may be a warm up show but that might be in Leicester, their original base. Not that I wouldn't try and go to that too. Only saw them the once in the 90's.

Ah, right you are. There seems to be quite a lot of love for them round these parts too - well, among the Nightshift crowd, at least.
