Giving the oldies some stick

Congratulations to Saffron Sollitt - there can't be many nine-year-olds who can claim to be a world champion. Saffron took the title in today's World Pooh Sticks Championships, held as usual in our neck of the woods. Having turned up too late to take part two years ago, I was disappointed to learn that 2010's event was cancelled due to the high level of the Thames, and then forgot about this year's contest. 2012 will be my year - mark my words...
