Crowd trouble
Schadenfreude might not be the most noble of sentiments, but surely when its object is Jim Davidson it's defensible? Davidson's been forced to pull the plug on the tour of his play Stand Up And Be Counted (mentioned in a recent post), citing that pesky current economic climate as the culprit. Yes, Jim, I'm sure that's what the real problem was.
On the subject of offensive comedy, there's a mildly interesting article on the BBC site, put together in the wake of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami. Credit to Oliver Double, "an expert in comedy at the University of Kent", for making a sharp distinction between Stewart Lee and Frankie Boyle.
