"GET AWAY, GET AWAY!"

A propos of nothing, here's a little reminder for Mars Volta devotees as to what Cedric Bixler-Xavala and Omar Rodriguez-Lopez were capable of before starting to disappear up their own sphincters: yes, it's At The Drive-In's legendarily self-destructive, self-sabotaging performance of 'One-Armed Scissor' on 'Later...'. Just a shame we don't get to see the mixture of stupefaction and disgust on the face of that evil Brylcreemed pixie Jools Holland.

Incidentally, I loved Deloused In The Comatorium (eventually), never got into Frances The Mute and didn't bother with Amputechture. Should I be investing in a copy of newie The Bedlam In Goliath? Anyone?

Think it's all fine - cheers for the tip-off...

No, you shouldn't. The Mars Volta suck. I've been enjoying Penance Soiree, though.

It's such a schizophrenic album, isn't it? A kind of romp through the history of twentieth century outsider rock...

As I seem to remember - that performance won the award for Best Use of a Plastic Chair in a music video... hope it's as good as I remember...!
