A programme of music, film and conversation focused on DIY/punk culture, held on my doorstep? Needless to say, I absolutely loved Mark Gubb's Church of Noise, put on in mid-October as part of the broader Cardiff Music City Festival, and took the opportunity to write a Buzz piece about some of its key events: the documentary films Lo Sound Desert and In Bed With Chris Needham, a four-band hardcore bill curated by Undod Collective and headlined by Perp Walk, and a talk by Scott Satterwhite and Valerie George of the 309 Punk Project and Rockaway Park creator Mark Wilson.
