Raised voices

It's fitting that the Workers Gallery - itself born out of protest (against library closures) - should have helped to give birth to Myfanwy Tristram's Noisy Valley project. Four years after the author/illustrator first came to the Rhondda, the fruits of the project - which relates the protesting experiences of a number of local residents - have been published as what she calls a "documentary comic".

I spoke to her for Buzz about the book's gestation and launch, and about the right to protest and recent restrictions imposed on it.
