In his photography project Outsiders currently exhibited at the Workers Gallery, Marc Davenant does what many people - often those in power - refuse to do: directly confront the scourge of homelessness, a problem that is only worsening thanks to the impacts of austerity policies. He portrays it not as an abstract social issue but as an appalling lived reality, treating those who find themselves without a home with concern and humanity.
