The debut album from collective Silver Moth is proof both that inter-band chemistry can be instant and that tight time constraints can be conducive to the creation of great art. Black Bay was written and recorded on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides - talk about splendid isolation...
Mogwai are a touchstone (inevitably, given Stuart Braithwaite's involvement in the project), but the album also has folky echoes of Lanterns On The Lake, Silver Moth's labelmates on Bella Union.
