This is the rarest of things: an oral history about music that hasn't been pulled together by Daniel Dylan Wray.
I'll admit that I'm far from a regular 6 Music listener (extremely poor form on my part), but I'm very grateful it's there, spreading the word and supporting some of the artists I hold most dear. Laura Snapes rounded up some of the key figures in the station's history - including Lauren Laverne, Steve Lamacq, Shaun Keaveny and Gilles Peterson - to talk about its beginnings, its role and the future.
