In the current climate, launching a brand new festival might be seen as the height of folly - but fair play to the team behind In It Together for sticking their necks out. The 40,000-capacity event has been announced for the first weekend in June next year, on a site just down the road near Swansea.
Weekend tickets are already on sale for just £49, which leads me to wonder whether I should follow the organisers' lead and take a punt. It obviously won't be a Green Man or an ATP (the Paddock Stage dubiously promises "red-hot emerging acts from the indie and rock world"), but just how bad could the line-up be? Surely there'd be at least a couple of acts worth seeing? Actually, on second thoughts, maybe that's tempting fate and it would be wiser to hold fire for the time being...
