A socialist in the White House? A preposterous proposition - or is it? Bernie Sanders' campaign appears to be gaining significant traction and, after a good showing in Tuesday night's televised debate, he's closing the gap on Hillary Clinton in the race for the Democrat nomination.
If he wins, it would arguably be even more of a shock than Jeremy Corbyn's victory in the Labour leadership contest - though of course receiving the nomination would only be the first hurdle and would only bring the Oval Office a tiny bit nearer. Whatever happens, though, it's a rare treat to see an American who holds the views he does being afforded some media attention.
