The power of the picture
The horrific images of Aylan Kurdi have been widely credited with bringing about a seachange in public opinion on Syrian refugees, as well as forcing both David Cameron and the mainstream media to change their tune. In recognition of that fact, the BBC have collected together ten further photographs of refugees in Europe that have a similarly powerful emotional impact. You may well have already seen Daniel Etter's picture of Laith Majid and his children, but the others are also striking - particularly those taken by Jose Palazon and Murad Sezer.
