If you're a fan of The Far Corner (and if not, you really should be), then you - like me - will no doubt rejoice at the fact that Harry Pearson has started a blog in much the same vein, The First Thirty Years Are The Worst. The most recent post, entitled "The Six Ages Of Fan", is a great advert for what to expect.
Elsewhere on the site Pearson sings the praises of Michael Walker's new book Up There, which, like The Far Corner, takes football in the north-east as its subject. I've recently got hold of a review copy and am looking forward to finding out if it's as good as he and When Saturday Comes' Paul Brown say.
