Power struggle

Imagine a world in which multinational corporations can act like big bullies, riding roughshod over the laws established by sovereign governments, even if such laws are for the economic, health or environmental benefit or protection of citizens. Imagine a world in which democratically elected governments are frustrated in their attempts to implement policies from their manifesto, for which they have a mandate. The truth is that, terrifyingly, that world is destined to be ours once a pair of trade pacts, the TPP and TTIP, come into effect.
