5 Things Parents Need To Stop Saying To Non-Parents. I can honestly say I haven't uttered any of these phrases so far (saying "When you have a kid..." to friends who are pregnant doesn't count). However, I am guilty of suffering from a bit of non-parent envy (whereby everyone else seems to be out having carefree fun in the sunshine while we're indoors covered in the various bodily fluids emitted by our little bundle of joy) and am trying and possibly failing to grumble about it...
