Say what?

The latest edition of the Collins English Dictionary has thrown up the usual interesting new additions - "fauxmance", for instance - but am I alone in thinking that "simples" and particularly "bigotgate" and "Cleggmania" don't warrant inclusion? Those who compile the dictionary might want to seem cutting-edge, but surely those haven't been in common circulation for long enough and are too time-specific to have made it in. I suspect the OED would be more circumspect...
