Quote of the day

"The thing about a sense of humour is that it's not bestowed on the good. It's just randomly dished out. People say that Abu Hamza is very good at jokes. Admittedly, Bin Laden doesn't really do jokes. Maybe that's because his writers are no good, or his sense of humour is too dry for western tastes. Certainly he's no worse than Gordon Brown."

Chris Morris grants the Guardian's Xan Brooks a rare interview in advance of Friday's nationwide release of Four Lions.

Other than illuminating the Dad's Army-esque haplessness of the perpetrators and plotting behind suicide bombings, I'm still not entirely sure what insights the film aims to offer. The clip that was released some time ago certainly promises laughs, but that's not really enough for either Morris or his fans. (And here's the trailer.)
