It's not every Saturday evening that your dinner guest gets a message telling him that the random cat he petted in Parliament Square last night turns out to have been Freya, Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office and owned by George Osborne, and that for taking the trouble to contact the number on her collar he's been invited to Downing Street to get his photo taken with said moggie.
