Smalltown ennui

So "the Perthshire village of Dull is attempting to forge ties with the American town of Boring in Oregon". Perhaps they should try to inject a bit of excitement by both looking to get twinned with this village in Austria - even if its name is pronounced as if by a gruff Mancunian.
