Quote of the day

"If anyone here doesn't want to see the future of music, leave now."

Knuckle-dragging gobshites Brother announcing their presence onstage at the Flowerpot in Kentish Town last autumn. The future of music, it seems, is reheated bloated-era Oasis pastiche and Kasabian with even fewer brain cells.

And there are more gems in that NME interview:

"We’re sick of all these American bands. The Drums can do one. As can all those bands with beards. It’s time for a proper band with some bollocks. Hopefully other bands will follow us."

"“We’re already polarising opinion massively. People might think we’re arrogant, but it’s just belief. We know how amazing we are. And soon everyone else will."

I suspect the only people who'll think Brother are amazing are Liam Gallagher and his Beady Eye cohorts, for making Different Gear, Still Speeding sound relevant and cutting-edge.
