Fancy a brew?

Hot on the heels of last week's post about Cardiff's best cheap eateries as declared by the Guardian came the exciting discovery on a weekend visit back to the Welsh capital of a microbrewery right in the heart of Canton.

The Artisan Brewing Company boasts that their beer, suitable for vegans, is "wholesome and natural, with no filtration, pumps or pasteurisation". It comes in brown 660ml glass bottles, the paper wrapping and tag used to distinguish between the different varieties. On Saturday Alt Beer and Bavarian Wheat were on offer - both delicious and (I'd say) good value at £2.50 a bottle. Certainly an ideal accompaniment for a barbecue.

Were I still living in Cardiff, this place would be guaranteed to feature in Achosion I Laweni series of posts. Which reminds me - the resuscitation of Reasons To Be Cheerful Part II is long overdue...
