No direction home
On Saturday, after an invigorating walk on the beach and equally invigorating meal and assortment of pints at the Plough & Harrow (which very definitely deserves its place in the AA 'Good Pub Guide'), we were trying to navigate our way back to Cardiff from Monknash in the dark when we came across this sign:
As if the bilingual nature of Welsh road signs wasn't enough to contend with... Enough to prompt an existential dilemma in some people.
Curiously, both we and our friends, who'd left a few hours earlier, instinctively felt left was the right way to go - why's that, do you suppose?
(Thanks to Dan for the photo.)

I would absolutely have taken the left also... although like you I've really no idea why. I've also no idea why there seems to be something positively untrustworthy about that right-arrowing sign...
Jonathan
It could have been a big circular road which met up at the village (ergo both signs are correct).
Or not, obv.
