Writing of Part Chimp's latest album Drool back in June, the Guardian's Stevie Chick ventured that "the group have refined their gift for perfectly primitive riffage to a true art". It's a claim that was certainly born out by their appearance at Clwb on Saturday night (with fellow riff fiends Sex Swing in tow). Chick also commented that they "aren't about machismo or terror, but the simple joy of ridiculously loud noise for its own sake" - an equally astute observation, even though the ears of all of those present will be whimpering for weeks...
