I'm not very comfortable with the idea of being critical of artists at the present moment, or of trashing anyone's creative pursuits - but in my defence I had a commission to fulfil and a commitment to honesty to abide by. So it was that Luke Haines' new LP got served a large slice of shoe pie.
I also meant what I said about his book Bad Vibes, though - it really is well worth a read, especially if you already have a dim view of the abomination that was Britpop.
