Heart and soul

As someone bitter at the thought of missing out on Glastonbury for another year (Acid Mothers Temple playing a Friday lunchtime set would have been worth the admission price alone), I at least have the consolation of knowing that one of the festival's best bands will be coming to Cardiff next week. How Algiers had previously passed me by I'm not entirely sure, but one listen to last LP The Underside Of Power - in the course of previewing Wednesday evening's appearance at Clwb - was enough to convince me that it should be quite a gig.
