On Sunday I was pondering what Stewart Lee might have made of Andrew Lawrence's rant about left-leaning comedians. Turns out I didn't have to wait long to find out - three days, to be precise. Predictably enough, Lee is mocking of the suggestion from Lawrence (and subsequently from Nigel Farage) that there's some kind of liberal cabal, and points out the delicious irony that Radio 4's search for right-wing comedians to ensure a measure of balance means Lawrence and UKIP-endorsing stand-ups are actually the potential beneficiaries of positive discrimination, rather than the victims.
The article is also notable for a mention of the Morpeth Bagpipe Museum. I'm bursting with hometown pride.
