To my mind, here's by far the most fascinating factoid to have emerged in the wake of Shirley Temple's death: the fact that her daughter Lori was once the bassist for Melvins (and Buzz Osborne's girlfriend to boot). In excerpts from Mark Yarm's book Everybody Loves Our Town: An Oral History Of Grunge, Buzz and Dale Crover reveal what her family were like and reflect on a situation that was "David Lynch weird".
Incidentally, I hadn't heard of the book before, but it's now firmly on the shopping list.
