What I actually ended up doing tonight: slobbing on the sofa in front of 'The 50 Most Shocking Moments In Comedy' on Channel Five.

Still, at least it was a helpful reminder that I really want to see the second series of Julia Davis's 'Nighty Night'. Let's just say that the fourth episode would make distressing viewing for anyone who thinks that trying for a baby should be a beautiful, romantic thing...
