Blogwatch: in brief

Truck may have been called off, what with the site (just down the road from SWSL's latest HQ, in Steventon) being seriously subaqueous, but, for one disappointed punter at least, festival therapy was close at hand. Simon's review of an equally innovative, idiosyncratic and small-scale event, Indietracks, is here, and his photos are here. Unsurprisingly for a shindig heavy on the twee, glockenspiels, flowery dresses and Darren Hayman were all prominent.

And from one indiepop lover to another - Jonathan, who's been inspired by his son Frankie's reluctance to part with a loaned 'Dora The Explorer' DVD to recount his own guilty library book shame: "In displaying an over-proprietorial attitude towards materials belonging collectively to the city's ratepayers Frankie is displaying an unfortunate genetic trait stretching back at least two generations"...

Meanwhile, Wan writes about names, and the particularly memorable work email address he once had.

Incidentally, I noticed today that the licencee of the cafe-bar near work is called Mr Chrobot. Perhaps he's a Transformer?
