Jeremy Beadle was known for springing surprises, but, even still, I hadn't anticipated that the jovial prankster might have been an avid collector of grisly true crime magazines.
Writer David Barnett was among those recently invited by York St John University's Hauntology and Spectrality Research Group to peruse the many magazines that Beadle had amassed by the time he died in 2008 - including an issue of True Detective that he guest edited.
