It's a brave person who compiles a list of Pavement's ten best songs ahead of their latest reunion and chooses not one but two tracks from the Watery, Domestic EP (including 'Frontwards' placed in the top spot) at the expense of the likes of 'Range Life', 'Stereo', 'Shady Lane' and 'Type Slowly'. (Yes, my favourite Pavement album is Brighten The Corners - what of it?)
Still, at least Abby Jones didn't feel compelled to select 'Harness Your Hopes' in light of the B-side's strange ascendance to becoming the band's most streamed song on Spotify - plus her picks from debut album Slanted And Enchanted ('Here', 'Summer Babe (Winter Version)' and 'In The Mouth A Desert') and Wowee Zowee ('AT&T' and 'Grounded') are spot on.
