I'm far from the first to say it, but this interview with 90s/00s superproducer William Orbit conducted by the Guardian's Kate Hutchinson is a real gem. There can't be too many people who can claim to have discovered drugs in their sixties or to have accidentally walked in on Madonna while she was having a poo. (Maybe those Instagram photos were Her Madgesty's attempt to deflect attention?)
Orbit is refreshingly honest and critical in his assessment of his own work and, as Hutchinson says, "terrifically gossipy" about fame and the madness of A-listers' lifestyles. Fair play to him for getting himself back on his feet following the personal trauma of addiction and mental breakdown.
