Every now and again a story emerges about a piece of modern art being dumped in the bin by a cleaner who's mistaken it for rubbish. But what about the opposite - items deliberately and knowingly thrown away by their owners that are then salvaged and collected for display? New York City's Sanitation Department has just such a collection, entitled Treasures In The Trash. It's not often open to members of the public, so Dylan Thuras' pictures might well be as close as you'll get to an extraordinary museum.
