Goddess ayes

As if 'Feel You' hadn't whetted my appetite for Julia Holter's new album enough, here's Alexis Petridis' gushing review of Have You In My Wilderness for the Guardian. I'm currently investigating the possibility of seeing her in either Birmingham or London in November - but would that destroy the songs' mystique?

It comes as no surprise to learn - from this Quietus article about her favourite albums - that even at the age of 15 she was listening to avant-garde classical music and getting her mind blown by Miles Davis' Live-Evil. Also featured in her list are records by MIA, Robert Wyatt, Roxy Music, Joanna Newsom, Joni Mitchell and Ariel Pink, as well as an album of medieval music and a girl group compilation featuring two tracks by different artists that she's covered.
