Truth and lies

He might have done untold damage to his career prospects, but we should be grateful to journalist James King for having the nerve to lift the lid on what goes on behind the scenes at DailyMail.com (formerly MailOnline): in a nutshell, "dishonesty, theft of copyrighted material, and sensationalism so absurd that it crosses into fabrication".

While I don't suppose this will come as much of a surprise to those even vaguely familiar with the site and its associated publication, it's nevertheless significant to have suspicions confirmed by someone who actually used to work there.

(Thanks to Brian for the link.)
