This map of the US indicating the bands particular states have a preference for is both interesting and instructive. No surprise to learn that Illinois is fond of Sufjan Stevens, mind. The north-east states have good taste, as do Minnesota and Missouri, but I've been put off the idea of ever visiting Arizona, Virginia and West Virginia...
