Gambian president Yahya Jammeh declares melodramatic war on gays in his address to the United Nations General Assembly. What a charmer. The response of his audience isn't recorded, but was presumably a multi-lingual "FUCK OFF".
This comes hot on the heels of the news that a Saudi cleric has rejected calls to permit women to drive on the grounds that it's damaging for their ovaries. Truly we live in enlighted times...
