Putting Norwich on the map

So the premiere of Alpha Papa in Norwich's Anglia Square seems to have proven a great success. The Guardian's photo gallery shows Partridge on the red carpet, resplendent in his powder blue short-sleeved safari suit and moccasins, and the captions are sufficiently good to make me wonder whether Alan himself had a hand in writing them.

I've just been reminded by a friend that on one of his only trips to Anglia Square, he was approached by a stranger and warned about the bacon thief. That's Norwich all over. Far too long since I last visited - nearly ten years, in fact.
