NB

The noble art of the note, as demonstrated in three different contexts:

1. The aforementioned Passive-Aggressive Notes. I could pore over these snide, snarky missives from painfully pedantic, obsessive-compulsive or just plain misanthropic malcontents for hours - and indeed I have.

2. The Post-It note "love walls" that spontaneously appeared around the UK in the wake of last week's riots. In the words of Stephen Bayley: "Charming, sentimental, concerned, non-destructive, clever, responsible and recyclable, these Post-it messages represent very different values to those so atrociously revealed last week. We hear a lot of nonsense about 'public art' which is usually ham-fisted and out-of-touch. Here is authentic public art - engaged, engaging and unforgettable".

3. No Breasts No Requests, a site compiling jottings handed to DJs or left in DJ booths - some of which wouldn't be out of place on Passive-Aggressive Notes...
