You can't stop the rock

I didn't think I'd see the day when I'd enthusiastically welcome back to life the old Academy building in Birmingham's Dale End. I'd thought it was due to be razed, along with most of its surrounds - so it's encouraging to read that it's being resurrected as "a completely non-corporate, non-sponsored venue" in direct opposition to the relocated Academy. Looking forward to paying the place a first visit in years.
