Problem solved?
The programme makers and even the psychologists claim that The Jeremy Kyle Show serves a therapeutic purpose for its guests, helping them to work through their problems and emerge happier and healthier on the other side. Funny, then, that the Guardian's Zoe Williams did a little bit of digging and uncovered far more evidence of interpersonal and psychological damage. But, of course, manipulating and exploiting the vulnerable makes for good TV, and here's a former producer on the show spilling the beans about all of the underhand tactics used.
(Thanks to Neil for the Zoe Williams link.)
