Steventon - and on and on

Truck? They'll have to rename it "Juggernaut" soon. For Oxfordshire's premier (read: only decent) summer festival has announced that this year it'll be bigger than ever. Not only is the capacity increasing from 5000 to 8000, but it's also transforming into a full three-day event. 2010's bash - the first I'd been to - made it abundantly clear that there's a real gem right on my doorstep.

Even better, arguably, is the news that Oxford will once more have its own record shop - Truck are teaming up with the good folks from Rapture in Witney to take over the old Videosyncratic premises in the city's musical heartland, Cowley Road. Now that IS a blessing force. Here's hoping they're able to make a go of it.
