Quote of the day
"TV On The Radio guitarist and production mastermind Dave Sitek has joined Jane's Addiction, kinda. According to a press release, Sitek is now a member of the pioneering funk-metal band's 'creative team'. He's playing bass and writing for the band's forthcoming album, tentatively due this summer from Capitol. The album is still in progress; the band is working on it in Los Angeles with Muse/Interpol producer Rich Costey.
Playing bass for Jane's, Sitek joins a group of musicians that includes original member Eric Avery, who quit the band last year, as well as former fill-ins Flea and Duff McKagan. Hopefully, he's practicing his slap-bass really hard."
Sorry, Pitchfork, let me get this right - you're telling me that Dave Sitek and Duff McKagan will both be appearing on a new Jane's Addiction album?! Speechless - and a bit excited.
