A superb venue with free bar all afternoon and evening? Bangers and mash for main course? Four of the best speeches you're ever likely to hear? Random encounters and sloshed conversations about politics with people who used to teach you how to say "Pour aller a la gare, s'il vous plait?" more than 15 years ago? Toasting the happy couple with shots of Werthers Original flavoured vodka, homemade by the bride and groom themselves? Yep, safe to say I'd be more than happy to go to more weddings like Saturday's.
