Feel good hits of the 19th November

1. 'We Are All Accelerated Readers' - Los Campesinos!
2. 'Total Trash' - Sonic Youth
3. 'Miner' - No Age
4. 'You Shook Me All Night Long' - AC/DC
5. 'The Race Is On Again' - Yo La Tengo
6. 'Run To The Hills' - Iron Maiden
7. 'Batcat' - Mogwai
8. 'New Pastures' - Hreda
9. 'Black Wave / Bad Vibrations' - The Arcade Fire
10. 'We Are The Battery Human' - Stornoway

Hreda and Stornoway will both feature in the clutch of gig reviews still in the pipeline, along with Rolo Tomassi, Oxes, Bilge Pump, Don Caballero and others.

I'm currently questioning the wisdom of passing up the opportunity to see Youthmovies in favour of impromptu post-work drinks with colleagues last Thursday, and very much regretting plumping for 5-a-side over the Ladytron / Asobi Seksu double bill at the Zodiac last night - I had an absolute stinker in every respect...

In other news, Mike, Jonny B, Ian and Swiss Toni have all contributed to the second 5x5 feature for The Art Of Noise, in which five guest reviewers share their thoughts on five songs by unnamed up-and-coming young things.

Meanwhile I'll be participating in ST's third annual Shuffleathon - busy deciding what the "lucky" recipient of my mix CD might be in for...
