Diana inquest coroner Lord Justice Scott Baker's riposte to Paul Burrell's claim that he was her "rock". Summing up for the jury, he also described Burrell as a liar whose testimony may have been influenced by the thought that "whatever he said might have an impact on his future enterprises". Not exactly a glowing character reference, then...

Wonderful stuff. I'm still in shock that the country isn't run by the security services and Prince Phillip. I thought we were in such safe hands. The thought that we, the people, actually have power, is terrifying.
So, the conclusions that the inquiry have come to are that a) it was caused by the driver being drunk, b) it was caused by the paparazzi or c) it was caused by the driver being drunk and the paparazzi.
Well, that was well worth the time and money wasn't it?
If I was to play devil's advocate, I'd say it almost WAS worth the time and money, if only because it made Burrell and Al-Fayed look like the morons they are. That rant of Al-Fayed's, at least, was priceless...
