Dark horse? Pitch black horse, more like
This was the first year I've partaken in an office sweepstake on the Grand National, and let's just say it didn't meet with much success. The previews and pundits suggested the horse I was saddled with, Fundamentalist, was already had one foot in the glue factory, and sure enough the 66-1 outsider lived up to expectations by falling at the fourth...
Congratulations, though, are due to Long Suffering Wife, who backed the winning nag for the fourth year in a row.
