How to come to terms with the death of your long-time producer and close friend? For Japanese post-rockers Mono, it seems to have been a case of continuing as if nothing much has changed - even recording at Electrical Audio, with Brad Wood replacing Steve Albini. In the circumstances, they can be forgiven for wanting to cling to the familiar - but as a result Snowdrop, while not exactly sterile, certainly springs few surprises for anyone acquainted with their extensive back catalogue.
